There is a misinformed, negative and naive image amongst many people about rural life in australia. Nearby horseriding, ski-ing and walking trails are also on offer. Wappan has a lot to offer including, walking boating, viewing farm operations or just relax. You have to bring sheets and towels. The bathrooms are outside and have been newly renovated with male and female with two toilets and showers in each. Two with doubles, four twin-share and two twin-share bunks. There are eight bedrooms. Sleeping 20. There is one big kitchen living area with an open fire. The shearers quarters are more basic. Fully equipped kitchen. It is heated with an open fire. Royaltown cottage has two bedrooms(one double, twin share, 1 double sofa-bed). We supply linen just bring your towels. The place is heated with a laundry. It has two bathrooms and three showers. One kitchen living with a woodheater, the other has an open-fire. It has two living areas. Wappan cottage has five bedrooms(two queens, 1 bunkbed, two twins, 1 double sofa bed). All premises have bbq and are self-contained. The accommodation consists of three premises. At high water level lake eildon is one of australias largest freshwater lakes stretching almost 500km, much of it is only accessible by boat. Wappan is only two hours from melbourne, right on the shores of lake eildon with views of australias premier ski resort, mt buller. Wappan is one of victorias largest sheep/cattle stations(16 000 merino sheep, 350 cattle) and is one of australias most scenic situated in the heart of the high country, where the "man from snowy river" was filmed. Come and learn and experience wappan for yourself and witness this truly unique rural setting. Three times a year we have shearing.
